A Note from Rob:
I want to talk about: healing…
Let’s set the record straight… the body (itself) does the healing work in natural health. Whether it’s Palmer’s “innate intelligence”, or craniosacral’s “life force” or homeopathy’s “vital force” or…, the practitioner and the modalities we practice are simply a participant in this beautiful process. I hold it as a tremendous blessing and a great responsibility to use the tools we have to hold space for the body to heal itself.
I saw a post on another massage therapists’ social media. It was a meme with a picture of a client with one side of their body obviously relaxed (had been worked on) and the other side of the body tense and contracted (still to be worked on). Down the middle of the picture was a thick line. On either side of the line were the words “Fixed” and “Not yet fixed” over the sides that had been worked on and not worked on (respectively).
This provided me a moment to pause and think about what I do.
Whether it be a sound therapy session, massage, reiki, natural health consultation, etc., I am honored to work with my clients, to share my skills and training, and to hold space for you to heal. We say that our mission at 7 Notes Natural Health is to help you hear, see, and feel true health.
However, I don’t fix things. I can’t fix anything for you. The body can heal itself. As I have said before, whether it’s Palmer’s “innate intelligence”, or craniosacral’s “life force” or homeopathy’s “vital force” or…, the practitioner and the modalities we practice are simply a participant in this beautiful process. I hold it as a tremendous blessing and a great responsibility to use the tools we have to hold space for the body to heal itself.
